Ipanema... When I saw this fabric in Paris it was immediately in the line.

For inspiration this season, I looked back to the explosive music scene of Brazil in the 1960’s.

Along with the political unrest of the time came a revolution in music – a blending of Brazilian and African styles from which new forms like “Samba”, “Bossa Nova” and “Son” were born…

This month I had to pick the shirt the leads the collection, BRAZIL ’66! This is what we are known for, a rich sophisticated paisley with browns & oranges that makes you want to start fall early!

Recently, I went through a mildewed shoebox of family photos from the 60’s. I landed on all the pictures of our summer vacations in the Hamptons, and the area was rife with inspiration!

There were “Kodak moments” of Mom looking like Jackie O with colorful headscarves and oversized sunglasses, and others of Dad flipping burgers at backyard barbeques. I could almost smell the Coppertone!

The partners of Craig Taylor Inc converged on the bayou this week for a destination board meeting and catalog shoot.
